DIABETES CLINIC

Minor Illness Clinic

We have Practice Nurses & Advanced Nurse Practitioners who has been additionally trained to deal with common acute illnesses e.g. coughs, colds, rashes. They can also prescribe and refer to other services when needed. 

Blood Tests and Other Health Promotion

Appointments available Monday – Friday with our Health Care and GP Assistant team for blood tests, ECG's, B12 injections, NHS health checks, vaccinations, long term condition tests. 

Long Term Condition Management

Available at various times during the week. You will be seen by our Health Care & GP Assistants for any initial tests and reviewed by a Nurse or Clinical Pharmacist to review any medications and results. 

Contraceptive Services

Available at various times during the week. To discuss various forms of contraception and provide the insertion/change/removal of IUD's and IUS' with one of our trained GP's

Child Immunisation

Appointments available during the week with one of our trained nurses. You will be sent a letter by NHS Child Health when your child is due and can contact us to book in when convenient for you. 

Minor Surgery Clinic

These are ran monthly by our trained GP's who see a range of skin conditions such as skin tags and cysts. Please make an appointment with a Practice Nurse or Advanced Practitioner who can refer you to one of our clinics in practice.

Maternity Services

If you have just found out you are pregnant, congratulations.

Midwives are based at Helme Chase Maternity Unit within Westmorland General Hospital. Once your pregnancy is confirmed they will be involved in your antenatal care.

Emergency contraception is if you have had unprotected sex which involves two special doses of pills taken within 72 hours.
